God's own speakers

He's sitting on the edge of the stage
in the twilight zone
in the vague green light
in between two acts and reality
symbolised by the heartbeats
flowing from God's own speakers

He's sitting there getting used
to his own vague fire burning him up
while a girl of about my sweet sixteen
tanktop jeans and sneakers
subtly moves the monitor into the right position

If this room was a cardboard box
and we had been walking all day
could we just let eachother be
and sleep in peace?

He's creating stalagmite palaces
rowing a rubber band boat
shooting snowball berry bullets
and he wants to know
do sixteen-year-old witches burn
like him and can they float?

If this room was a cardboard box
and we had been walking all day
could we just let eachother be
and sleep in peace?

And can we send the security guys on vacation,
can we send the security guys on vacation,
can we send the security guys on vacation,
can we send the security guys on a vacation,
to the moon?

Lilies

If I sang about lilies would you mind very much
I guess you wouldn’t but hey there you go I don’t know,
so that’s why I ask

You just might think that lilies would rhyme to barbies,
and the next thing you knew was that I introduced you
to my teddy bear and tell you about all the tears that it cried
when I was a child

Now bears they live in the mountains and I
I used to live by the sea in a pancake-flat country
and the sun would sink in a salty sea
and that image contained enough tears for me

But there’s a feeling I get when I look to the east
'cause now that I’ve crossed the ocean
my home is bound to forever be east

And a baby tornado might snatch me before
I can get back to the barbies and the shore
and the lilies that I couldn’t tell you about
would never leave the garden,
they would never end up in my hair

Bad For The Economy

Saving up money for a rainy day
Saying sorry when there’s no one to blame
Start to worry when your train is late
'Cause you might get fired and not get paid

So be sad eternally
You’ll never win a lottery
And no one’s gonna set you free
'Cause you’re bad for the economy

With the water to my knees, I’m bad for the economy
I’m worse off than the trees, at least they got their food for free

So be sad eternally
You’ll never win a lottery
And no one’s gonna set you free
'Cause you’re bad for the economy

Stop saving up money for a rainy day
Stop saying sorry when there’s no one to blame
Stop worrying when your train is late
You might get fired anyway

Stop craving for honey if you’re not a bee
Stop carrying tears to the deep blue sea

Or be sad eternally
You’ll never win a lottery
And no one’s gonna set you free
'Cause you’re bad for the economy

With the water to my knees, I’m bad for the economy
I’m worse off than the trees, at least they got their food for free
So today’s a rainy day, the water’s to my knees
I don’t know what to say, I’m bad for the economy

Beer Bottle Super Soaker

Jugling with the wig
And the Elvis glasses
In the dressing room
Dazed and happy

Shouting
Be kind to your groupies”

Tonight when the moon is bright
Behind the clouds

When morning is falling
Over this town
And I am about to be crawling
Back into the ground

We ran out of fireworks
We ran out of champagne
Beer bottle super soaker
The stage is flooded
We dance like swimmers
We dance like sinners

Tonight when the moon is blue
In your eyes

When morning is falling
Over this town
And I am about to be crawling
Back into the ground

I will take you home
My silver boots will show me how

The Milky Way is clouded
By smoke
But I am sure

There’s always room
For one more star

When morning is falling
Over this town
And I am crawling
Back into the ground

Dolphinarium

When you were five years old
On a grandstand in the dolphinarium
And the dolphintrainer said come down little girl
And you said no cause everyone was staring

So your family said come on girl
What is this shyness-thing?
You’re as nice a girl as any other girl
Why don’t you try and see what it brings

You could have been in a boat pulled by dolphins
And maybe find a treasure down in the sea
You could have been in a boat and play with mermaids
But you said no and that was final

So now you were asked to play
In a television commercial
And you said no and they said why and you said I don’t like
Television commercials

So everyone around you says
What is this principle thing
You can use the money as good as anyone
Why don’t you try and see what it brings

You could have been in a boat pulled by dolphins
And maybe find a treasure down in the sea
You could have been in a boat and play with mermaids
But you said no and that was final

And you said No is the best word in this world
No is the greatest show on earth
I love my No and my No it loves me back
And I am free
I am free

Quick Brown Fox

There are a million ghosts in a tiny box
Said an old and wise woman wearing woolly socks
And she told me a story ’bout some chickens and a fox
But I’m not gonna tell you cause the moral sucks

Speaking is silver and silence is golden
And gold is expensive, even a sliver
It will stay in your molars when you’re dead and decayed
Unless some foxy thief is gonna steal it away

There are a million chickens in a tiny box
Said a strange little girl with golden locks
And she sang me a song about a quick brown fox
And I wish that I could sing it cause the composition rocks

Singing is ruby and screaming is metal
And rubies are beautiful and metal is useful
Yeah singing is really for lazy dogs
Which kinda brings us back to that quick brown fox

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog

There are a million people in a tiny box
Said a very cool chicken to the ghost of a fox
And the riddles grew stronger and the dream lasted longer
And I wish I could remember but then I woke up (I’m a lazy dog)

Now it seems that everybody’s in a tiny box
It seems that everybody’s in a tiny box
Except for that darn old quick brown fox
Except for that darn old quick brown fox

Party For The Ghosts

Don’t flirt with fate
and don’t mess with myth
you’ll start
to believe
in your own creations
and you’ll start
saying things
like my talent is a gift
It’s like someone is speaking to me
from another world
yeah maybe it is the realm of the dead!

So throw a party for the ghosts
Let them dance and rattle their bones
Ask them about the sun and the moon
Tell them you will join them soon

Fix your flaws
and mold your meanings
into something nice
like a cake that you can cut
and share the pieces
with the ghosts inside your head
share the pieces
with the ghosts!

So throw a party for the ghosts
Let them dance and rattle their bones
Ask them about the sun and the moon
Tell them you will join them soon

Throw a party for your ghosts
Share your cake and make the most of it
Let them dance and rattle their bones
It’s the party of the ghosts

People have died this year
and I have known a few
so don’t fuck with fate
and don’t mess with myth
you’ll start to believe
it is true

Son Of A Smile

Don't wanna watch her kissing her boyfriend
Running off to buy new shoes
Having lunch with all of her girlfriends
It's sex and the city take away blues

Don't wanna watch him interrogating
The usual suspects at the usual time
Right after work while eating my dinner
He's smiling his I know you son of a smile

Don't wanna see them charming their way
Out of murder and love and family ties
Though I like the demons in their stupid caves
The way they behave like they're not alive

And I'm sick of feeling good
Sick of feeling good
Sick of feeling good
But addicted to the mood

Don't wanna see the dolls in the window
To redecorate them with my eyes
To change the lightbulbs, put up paintings
To see my boredom in a different light

I know I'm here and a guitar is strumming
Eternally out of tune and off
I know that I'm here and maybe I'm humming
And suddenly everything is alright

And I'm sick of feeling good
Sick of feeling good
Sick of feeling good
But addicted, addicted
And I'm sick of feeling good
Sick of feeling good
Sick of feeling good
But addicted to the mood

Better Working Conditions

More technical talk for economic progress

Every other day
Every other day – yeah
Ooh – at any local pub
Ooh – your knowledge can be updated
Ooh – schools are built in public places
Ooh – among friends over lager

More technical talk
for economic progress

Every other day
Ooh - at any local school
Ooh - I used to draw faces
Ooh - only eyes and ears and noses
Ooh - and write silly things

More technical talk
for economic progress

Better working conditions
Better working conditions
Better working conditions
Better working conditions
Better working conditions
Better working conditions
Better working conditions
Better working conditions

More bigger better

Eerie Soldier

I am the eerie soldier
I stashed some goodies far from the Milky Way
I thought you might want to see them
But I guess I picked the wrong day

I am the eerie soldier
I came on a horse with golden wings
I thought you might want to listen
When we fly she normally sings

Well here's another story
I don't want to wake you a quarter past three
But before I will evaporate
I'd like to say bye bye sweet dreams
